Portrait of Dr. Skertich, Superintendent of Collinsville Community Unit School District #10, with the date April 24, 2026.

Kahok Families,

The final few weeks of the school year are full of activity across our district. There are many opportunities for families to get involved and support our students.

We encourage you to come out and cheer for our student-athletes as they compete in baseball, softball, track, girls soccer and boys volleyball. These events are a wonderful way to connect as a community. Check out the athletic schedules on the Kahok Athletics and CMS Trailblazer websites.   Just don’t forget to wear your purple!

There will also be performances by our talented band and choir students, as well as events that recognize our students’ academic successes. While this time of year can be busy, it is also one of the most meaningful, as we celebrate our students’ hard work and achievements.

Help us Tell Our Story by Sharing Yours

Families researching schools often read reviews online.  These reviews help prospective parents make informed decisions by providing the lived experience of the school beyond test scores and demographics.

Your voice plays an important role in telling our district’s story, and we want to highlight the many positive things happening in our schools and in our students’ lives.

We are asking for your support by sharing your experience in a review for your child’s school on GreatSchools.org in the days ahead. Watch for more information next week in ParentSquare and from your child’s school.

Please take a few minutes to share a comment, story or experience from your child’s time in our schools.  Whether at the elementary, intermediate, middle or high school level, your perspective helps us showcase the great work taking place throughout Unit 10.

We want to make sure our story is being told so future families know what our schools are like.

Attendance is Important - Even During the Final Weeks

As we approach the final month of the school year, consistent attendance is more important than ever. We encourage you to support your child attending school each day, arriving on time and staying fully engaged in their learning.

Finishing the year strongly reinforces positive habits needed throughout life and ensures students don’t miss important instruction, special activities and end-of-year experiences.

Thank you for your constant dedication to our students. Don’t forget to wear your purple and show your Kahok Pride!
