Congratulations to CHS Class of 2026 Seal of Biliteracy and Commendation Recipients
The CHS World Language Department is proud to announce that 74 Collinsville High School Seniors attained state recognition for excellent performance on the 2026 Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy Exam.
The Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy is a high school graduation award recognizing proficiency in English and another language. It appears on diplomas and transcripts, boots college applications, and enables Illinois public universities to grant up to two-years of foreign language credit.
The Illinois Seal of Biliteracy recognizes a student's ability to effectively communicate in both English and a second (or third) language. The following students will have a special seal placed on their high school diplomas.
“We are beyond proud of these amazing kids! Receiving the Seal of Biliteracy or the Commendation towards the Seal is a HUGE accomplishment," said Cara Kettler, World Language Department chair. "These students will be able to use these test scores to receive credit at the college level, and will make themselves even more marketable in the workforce.
