CHS Leo Club Raises $1,372 for All Abilities Playground

CHS Leo Club presents a $1,372 donation check to the City of Collinsville for an All Abilities Playground.The recent Collinsville High School Leo Club raffle raised $1,372 for the City of Collinsville's All Abilities Playground to be constructed in Glidden Park.  

Leo Club sponsor Rachel Harlan said, "Because of the Kahok community's generosity and support, every cent of the proceeds will help create a space where everyone in our community can play and thrive."

Harlan and members of the Leo Club presented the check to Director of Parks & Recreation Kimberly Caughran, Assistant Director Jessica Fowler, Collinsville Mayor Jeff Stehman and Assistant City Manager Jessica Short. 

Construction of the park is scheduled to begin this week, weather permitting.   

What is Leo Club?
A Leo Club is a high school service organization sponsored by local Lions Clubs International chapters, focused on fostering leadership, experience, and opportunity (LEO) through community service. Members, known as Leos, plan and execute volunteer projects, fundraisers, and social initiatives while developing leadership skills.
